Manolo Meets some Quality People

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

The Quality Management for Peer Production of e-learning content project, co-funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the EACA, held it’s fourth partner meeting in Granada on Monday and Tuesday this week.

The project is being undertaken by a consortium of 8 partners and IAVANTE is the lead partner for the Work Pagkage 7 (Quality and Assesment) as well as the piloting venue for two of the four project pilots.

During the meeting the first deliverable “Setting the Scene Report” was presented (WP2) and the results of the expert panels en Italy , Spain and Finland were analysed.

The first day of meetings were dedicated to planning the deliverables from work packages 3 and 4 as well as organising the piloting courses.

On the second day, at the request of IAVANTE, Tim Mcquaid was invited to present to the consortium the IAVANTE English Training blog and the new methodology of peer production of blog content through the use of speaking avatars that represent the different groups.

All consortium partners were extremely interested in this project and have decided to include it as an extra pilot within the project.

With this incorporation IAVANTE  gains European visibility for another of our cutting edge projects as well as positioning the project and the Foundation within a European partnership of excellence.

 Welcome to Europe Manolo!

Hi everybody
show

You’ll soon be seeing some new entries on our blog. There will be a series of interactive quizzes covering the past four months of posts and then one will appear weekly. Give them a go and let us know how you get on and what you think of  them - too easy, too difficult, that kind of thing. One thing to remember is that you must click on the ‘View Fullscreen’ button to see the quiz.
show

There will also be an interesting fact each week, often relating to something medical to enlighten you. If you know of any interesting facts you would like to share with the world then let us know, remember this is a blog, your input is always more than welcome.
show

You will also be seeing a new post category entitled ‘Telephoning’ where we will teach you all the language you need to know when using the telephone.

That’s about it for now but, as I said, this is a blog so please let’s have some input from you, anything from comments about the ETP material to what you thought of a film you saw or a restaurant you went to, would be great.

Take care
